1. About These Terms
These terms govern your use of the Global West Containers website and any quotation, sale or rental agreement entered into with Global West Containers. By using this website or submitting a quote request, you accept these terms.
2. Quote Requests (No Online Payment)
This website operates on a quotation basis. Adding products to your quote cart and checking out does not create a binding order and no payment is taken online. A contract arises only once you accept our written quotation and we confirm acceptance of your order in writing.
3. Quotations & Pricing
- Written quotations are valid for 14 (fourteen) days unless stated otherwise.
- Delivery, off-loading, installation and VAT are itemised separately in each quotation.
- Prices are subject to stock availability and may change without notice until a quotation is accepted.
4. Condition of Containers
Used containers are sold in the condition honestly described in the quotation (e.g. "cargo worthy", "wind & water tight"). New (one-trip) containers have completed a single import voyage and may carry minor cosmetic marks consistent with that journey. Any container previously owned by a customer will always be expressly disclosed as such.
5. Delivery & Site Access
- Delivery dates are estimates and depend on transport availability and site readiness.
- The customer is responsible for ensuring safe truck and crane access, level ground and any required permits at the delivery site.
- Failed deliveries caused by inaccessible or unprepared sites may incur a call-out fee.
6. Rental Terms
Rental units remain the property of Global West Containers. Rentals are billed monthly in advance, require a refundable security deposit, and the customer is responsible for reasonable care of the unit for the rental period. Fair wear and tear excepted, damage will be charged at repair cost.
7. Ownership & Risk
Ownership of purchased containers passes on receipt of full payment. Risk passes on delivery to the agreed site.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Global West Containers is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit or delays arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
